               Firstly, congratulations and welcome to all those students who have cracked the medical entrance test and have got admission in medical college.

        As you all would have heard that MBBS is very difficult and you have to study very hard. This is true as MBBS is really difficult but not as much as you have heard. You have to study smart rather than hard, and 

believe me it will be very easy for you and you will enjoy your studies

.

      Today I am going to share with you some of the best mobile apps that are really useful and it will make your study easier. 

TOP MOBILE APPS FOR MEDICAL  STUDENTS

    You will need these apps more for anatomy as compared to physiology and biochemistry. 

             I will share my personal experience of using these apps. I will also give you some tips related to every app.

So, let’s start.

Apps for Gross Anatomy

1.  Teach-Me-Anatomy

         The first app that you will need for anatomy is “Teach-Me-Anatomy”.

                In this app, they have given description for any topic you want to study.

                Let we take knee joint as an example. Along with description there are multiple images of the knee joint, taken at various angles, which make it easier and understandable

clinicals.   

                There are clinicals given in this app related to the topic (knee joint)."Clinicals" mean “the common diseases and abnormalities that ae are associated with a particular region of the body".

                This app also has quiz for each topic. The quiz is in the form of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and it is really helpful in further understanding of the topic.

            This also has a 3D model of the whole body but I think this is not available in the free version you have to pay for it.

                 But you don’t need to pay for any app as we are going to tell you about some of the best apps for 3D model of the body that are totally free.

 

            This app also has another feature for your convenience, that is they have arranged all the topics region-wise. As you have to study the following regions in your 1st year anatomy:

1. Upper limb,
2. Lower limb and
3. Thorax.

 So, this feature is really helpful for you.

            Now the 2nd app that you will need for anatomy is, “My Muscle Anatomy”.

4.  Essential Anatomy

            The next app and one of the best apps for gross anatomy is “Essential Anatomy”

This app is not free, you have to pay for it. But as I said earlier that you don’t need to pay for any of the apps.

It has many useful features. We will discuss these briefly.

             You can study all the body parts in this one app. Like you can study the skeleton, each and every bone very clearly. You can rotate and zoom in and out the body in any direction you want.

            They have arranged each and every system separately. You can study all the systems like Arterial system, Venous system, Muscular system, Nervous system, Digestive system, Respiratory system and Excretory system. 

            You can study these systems separately as well as you can combine all these systems together or in combination with one or two systems.

            You can also study each and every organ of the body separately. You can have a look to all the internal and external features of individual organ.

            This app is really interesting and has all the features that we discussed above for each app.

quizzes and pronunciation

            It also has the quiz option for your knowledge to be tested. 

           The app also has the feature of pronunciation to make the words easy for you.

 

These are the apps you will need for your Gross Anatomy. This will make you understand anatomy easily. You will enjoy your studies with these amazing apps.

APPS FOR PHYSIOLOGY AND BIOCHEMISTRY

        I think you don’t need any app for these subjects as you can easily understand these in your books and if you face any problem in these subjects you can watch videos for it.

        But if you want to use apps for these you can download from play-store. I will just mention the names as I have not used these apps so I have no experience of these.

STUDY TIPS FOR BIOCHMISTRY AND PHYSIOLOGY

        There are lots of videos available on internet and you can easily make your concept clear by watching these videos. My all-time favorite teacher is Sir Dr. Najeeb.

        But his videos are too lengthy and will make you bore. So, you can increase the playback speed to 2x or 2.5x and in this way you can watch his one-hour video in just 20 to 30 minutes.

        There are many more teachers available online on You-tube and their videos are also best to be watched.

Another app that you will need for all subjects is “Medical Wikipedia”. This is a wonderful app.
